Check Out This Gorgeousness!

I'm in love... with the new products MUA are bringing out over the next couple of weeks. I am a big fan of MUA's products. They are really affordable, and great quality. Perfect for if you are just starting out in makeup. The other day, when I was browsing through their blog, I saw that they are introducing several new products into their range. Well, I was blown away by them! They look amazing. The first of which was a new Artiste Palette, including 6 marble effect eyeshadows, 2 blushers, and a highlight and contouring powder (the perfect all rounder palette for only £6!) The eyeshadows look really nice, and from past experiences, they should be really well pigmented.

The second products I saw, were the ones I was most impressed with, the Nail Constellations! Which are pretty much tiny beads that you pour over wet nail varnish, leaving a beautiful look and effect. First, just look at those marketing/advertising images! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

Now, this nail art idea isn't exactly original (Ciate came up with the idea, and do their own sets and colours), but compared to the £18 Ciate are charging for one bottle of beads, and one bottle of polish, it may surprise you when I say each bottle costs £3!! Although it doesn't look like you get a bottle of nail polish to attach the beads onto with, you could still buy a bottle from MUA's range, and that would only set you back an extra £1! Both these products hits selected Superdrug's and online September 26th, and I will be extremely tempted to try these out!

Beginner Basics...

While I was recently searching YouTube for some new beauty guru's (a favourite past time of mine), I came across a series of videos by the celebrity makeup artist Lisa Eldridge. These videos are great for those Beauty Beginner's, as Lisa explains the basics about each product (foundation, concealer, primer, contouring powder and highlighter). For those who are just starting out in makeup, and don't really know what each product does, or how to use them, these videos really answer these questions. I really recommend checking them out.

Makeup Basics: Foundation

Makeup Basics: Primer

Makeup Basics: Concealer

The Powder Contouring video is here, and the Liquid and Cream Blusher is here. Lisa also does a video on Liquid Blush which may be worth checking out.

Hope this helped.

September Wish List

1. Clinique 3-Step System skincare set - I really need to find a decent skincare routine
2. Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel in Black (meant to be very similar to MAC's Fluidline)
3. Benefit's Confessions of a Concealaholic (a gorgeous set of everything you need to get flawless skin)
4. A shopping trip to MAC - I've never been to a MAC counter/shop before, and have never tried any of their products, but I would really love to try out their eyeshadows and lip sticks, unfortunately, the bank doesn't agree with this just yet
5. NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils - heard a lot of great things about these, so I really want to try them out
6. Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter - again, heard a lot people rave about these, and the packaging and colours are so cute, and just scream me! Next time I see a 3 for 2 offer or something on Revlon, I'll pick a couple of these up.

Essie Nail Polish Haul: Swatches

These are the polishes I picked up from Fragrance Direct, in the previous post.

Above: Essie - Tour De Finance, Essie - Muchi Muchi

Above: Essie - Brooch The Subject, Esssie - Vanity Fairest

Above: Essie - Navigate Her, Essie - Power Clutch

Above: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - Dive Deeper

Overall, all of the above nail polishes apply really well, and the colour is reasonably similar to that in the bottle. I can't see them chipping until after a few days, 3-4 at the max. So, yes, I am pleased with this purchase, and if I see anymore colours up for sale at this price, I will buy them! Haha

£1.99 Essie polishes?! Don't mind if I do!

So, the other day, I was casually strolling through the lovely Fee's blog, Makeup Savvy, and she had written a post about her recent buys from Fragrance Direct. Well, I was really shocked when she said that they were selling Essie Nail Polishes for, wait for it, £1.99!! Usually these nail polishes cost around the £8 mark, so when I saw this, I just couldn't help myself. I may have went a little mad, but I've found with Fragrance Direct, that sometimes, when they sell out of a certain colour, they either don't get it back in for forever, or it never comes back, so this sort of justified my reason for buying so many. Haha ;). Anyway, these are the ones I brought:

Below: Essie - Tour De Finance, Essie - Muchi Muchi, Essie - Brooch The Subject, Essie - Vanity Fairest

I also picked up a couple of other random things while I was shopping here:

Ciate Nail 3D Stickers in Butterflies and Roses

Well, I just thought I'd let you know about this, as it really took me by surprise, plus the colours are still up on their website now, so if like me, you've thought about buying a Essie nail polish, but don't like the idea of spending £8 on a single bottle, this is a great chance to own and try some out at a fraction of the price, go check them out, I'm really glad I did.
